Executive Communication — Practice the Decisions That Matter

A fictionalized, interactive leadership case study — designed and built independently using AI-assisted development.

01

The Challenge

Executive communication skills are difficult to practice safely. Real stakeholder situations carry real consequences, and generic advice rarely prepares leaders for moments where every defensible option carries a trade-off.

02

My Role

I independently designed and built the complete interactive experience — scenario writing, decision architecture, interface design, and AI-assisted development — as a demonstration of applied learning design.

03

The Approach

A composite, fictionalized scenario built from challenges common to many cross-functional programs. Participants explore six navigable sections in any order, step into three professional roles, and commit to a decision before seeing its trade-offs.

  1. 01 —Decide before you peek

At every decision moment, participants commit to a response before reading the trade-offs and consequences.

  2. 02 —Multiple professional perspectives

Participants step into the roles of people manager, design lead, and cross-functional partner — no path is free of trade-offs.

  3. 03 —Evidence-based interpretation

Statements are weighed against what the material shows, not first impressions.

04

The Solution

A six-section interactive case study application, ending in an optional leadership playbook that turns reflection into a personal response plan.

  • Six navigable sections: business context, evidence, leadership moments, decision rights, governance, and an optional playbook
  • Interactive leadership decisions with trade-off analysis
  • Multiple professional perspectives
  • Evidence-based interpretation prompts
  • Reflection prompts and a learner-reported self-assessment rubric
  • A personalized leadership playbook
  • Copy, print, and PDF download functionality

05

Evidence & Outcomes

The published interactive prototype is the current project evidence. Participant results and performance outcomes have not been collected; no impact claims are made.

  1. Evidence boundaries

The self-assessment rubric is learner-reported, not an AI-generated score. The experience does not adapt dynamically using an AI model, and no such claim is made.

What This Demonstrates

  • Scenario & experience design
  • Decision architecture & trade-off analysis
  • Applied learning design
  • AI-assisted prototyping
  • Assessment & reflection design

07 · Inside the experience

Explore the Experience

An interactive leadership case study where participants step into critical moments, choose professionally defensible responses, and weigh the trade-offs. Try the Interactive Case Study to work through it yourself.

Independent interactive prototype. Composite, fictionalized scenario intended for reflection; ratings are learner-reported, not AI scores — choices persist between tabs and reset on refresh.

Reflection

“Leadership decisions rarely have perfect answers. The value comes from examining evidence, understanding trade-offs, and choosing a response you can defend.”
